OM, is a nationally-certified (NCCAOM) acupuncturist who is licensed in the states of Colorado and California. She was trained in Oriental Medicine (acupuncture, herbal medicine and complementary modalities) at one of the nation’s leading institutions--Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California. She received highest honors when she graduated in 2002 with a masters degree in Oriental Medicine. The program comprised more than 2700 hours of instruction in acupuncture and herbal medicine as well as western biomedical studies. Her clinical internship included giving acupuncture treatments to patients at UCLA’s Arthur Ashe Health Center, at the Cri Help Addiction Recovery Center and at Emperor's College community-based clinic. Robin was in private practice in Santa Monica for four years before relocating to Boulder, Colorado, in April 2006. She has been in continuous private practice for 18 years. Robin uses acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional guidance to address a wide variety of internal health concerns and orthopedic pain conditions, and treats both men and women for fertility and reproductive health issues. Her approach to patient care incorporates a gentle acupuncture technique partnered with compassion and a strong belief in patient education. In addition to their acupuncture treatment, Robin encourages her patients to make lifestyle choices that support their optimal health, such as practicing t'ai chi, yoga or other meditation and exercise; maintaining healthy nutrition, including vitamin and herbal supplementation when appropriate; and being involved in the community. Whole Foods and Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy in Boulder have invited her to be a featured speaker on acupuncture and various topics related to Oriental Medicine. She has been quoted in Alternative Medicine magazine, and has written about acupuncture for Colorado Daily Women's Magazine. Robin provided acupuncture services to students, staff and faculty at CU Boulder's Wardenburg Health Center from 2008 to 2013 and continues to offer a reduced rate for CU affiliates at her private office. She has served as Secretary, Fundraising Chair and Vice President of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado, finishing her fourth year on the Board of Directors in April 2018.
